Sewer line problems can be a big deal for homeowners, but they can be a nightmare for business owners and commercial property managers. Aside from the fact that commercial establishments often see more use throughout the day compared to residential properties, these plumbing systems tend to be more complicated and involve more components. When they malfunction, this can lead to not only costly pipe repair but also significant disruption of business operations.

Our team at A-1 Total Service Plumbing offers shares the most common types of trenchless pipe relining services that can benefit commercial properties:

CIPP Lining

Cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining is a trenchless technology that can be used to repair any type of damaged sewer line, including cast iron and clay pipes. An epoxy-infused liner is inserted into the original pipe, where it is then cured and hardened to form a new pipeline that’s now resistant to corrosion and leaks.

Pipe Bursting

This method upgrades existing pipe sizes, replacing the older pipes with a stronger material. The most common form of pipe bursting uses a hydraulically-powered bursting head that forces its way through the old pipe and pulls in a new HDPE one behind it. This technique can also be used for pipe intrusion repair when tree roots have caused damage that cannot be repaired by lining.

SIPP Lining

Spray-in-place pipe is a non-invasive pipe rehabilitation technique where a liquid resin is sprayed inside the existing pipe, creating a durable lining that seals leaks and reinforces the pipe’s structural integrity. It eliminates the need for costly and disruptive traditional pipe replacement methods, providing homeowners with a long-lasting solution for various pipe issues.

A-1 Total Service Plumbing provides top-notch pipe relining in Long Beach, CA. Our certified technicians can handle any pipe repair services that your commercial property needs, from large-scale pipeline renovations to minor patch repairs. Contact us today to schedule an appointment.

There’s no surprise that many home and business owners consider trenchless pipe repair to address plumbing issues. This reliable, cost-effective solution means that the job is done quickly, with minimal damage to the surrounding environment.

However, the success of any trenchless pipe repair project relies heavily on finding the right contractor. With many trenchless pipelining companies claiming to be the best in the local area, how do you determine which one to pick?

Here’s how you can narrow your search for a reputable underground sewer line repair contractor:

Check for license and insurance.

First and foremost, ensuring that the trenchless pipe relining contractor you are considering has a valid license is crucial. This is your assurance that they work in accordance with industry standards and follow all necessary safety requirements. Additionally, ask for proof of insurance to protect yourself from any possible liabilities during the job.

Know their experience.

Just because a contractor claims to specialize in trenchless repairs does not mean they are the most experienced option. What if your property needs cast iron pipe relining or any other specialized technique? Someone with a proven track record in multiple repair methods and who has been providing these services for many years should be the one you go for.

Seek out reviews.

Research is key when choosing a trustworthy contractor. It’s always beneficial to seek reviews and references from past clients to understand how they perform their sewer relining work and how satisfied customers were with the job.

Request a quote.

Before committing to any contractor, always ask for a detailed cost breakdown of the pipe reline project. Any dependable contractor should be able to provide a clear and concise quote that outlines the scope of work, materials and labor costs, time frame for completion, and any other costs associated with the job.

Understand their methodology.

Every contractor has their own unique approach to resolving plumbing issues. Pipe root intrusion repair, for example, requires specialized tools and techniques to rid your pipes of any cracks or clogs. Understand how they plan to address your specific plumbing problem before allowing them to begin work.

Inquire about warranties.

The best CIPP contractors are proud of their work and back it up with warranties. This way, you’re sure that they will take care of any possible issues in the future. Confirm the type and length of warranty they provide before signing a contract.

A-1 Total Service Plumbing has years of experience in pipe relining in Orange, CA. Our highly trained technicians will deliver the right solutions for your plumbing needs. Contact us today to schedule an appointment.

When dealing with sewer line issues, you naturally want the most efficient and affordable solution available. The good news is A-1 Total Service Plumbing offers trenchless pipe repair, which is quickly becoming the preferred method of many home and business owners.

Here’s what makes pipe relining in Los Angeles, CA a cost-effective option to consider.

Extends Pipe Lifespan

Trenchless pipelining creates a seamless, corrosion-resistant interior that can last for over 50 years. This helps the repaired pipe become more durable and resistant to everyday wear and tear and wouldn’t need replacements for a long time.

Leaves Your Landscape Intact

Since minimal digging is involved, CIPP lining preserves your property’s landscaping, hardscaping, and other structures on-site. This means you won’t have to worry about restoration costs, which would’ve been the case with conventional pipe repair methods.

Pipe Lining Works on Cast Iron Pipes

Homes and businesses with old cast iron pipes can benefit from trenchless technology. Cast iron pipe relining allows the pipe’s inner surface to be coated with a waterproof lining, providing protection against further deterioration.

Provides an Immediate Solution

Trenchless pipe relining can typically be completed in a day or two, so you don’t have to endure long wait times before having your plumbing system back in good running condition.

Prevents Future Problems

Because trenchless methods are an effective form of pipe root intrusion repair, you won’t have to worry about future problems such as backups or blockages that result from tree roots penetrating your sewer lines.

Reduces Excavation Costs

Since little to no excavation is required in sewer relining, there wouldn’t be a need to spend money on renting heavy machinery and paying laborers to dig up the area. This can result in significant savings while still getting the job done correctly.

A-1 Total Service Plumbing is the team you can rely on for underground sewer line repair. Our expert technicians will carefully assess the situation and recommend the best trenchless repair solution for your needs. Contact us today to schedule an appointment.

When pipes start to suffer from damage, it is only right to repair them and make sure they are restored to their former condition. Otherwise, the damage can worsen and create problems that can be even more expensive and time-consuming to resolve. One method of pipe repair that our experts at A-1 Total Service Plumbing recommend is cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) lining.

Read on as we discuss the basics of pipe relining in La Habra, CA, and when it is an ideal solution to consider.

How It Works

Cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining is a trenchless pipe rehabilitation method that uses an resin-saturated felt tube made of polyester, fiberglass cloth for resin impregnation, pulled through the damaged section of pipe, eliminating the need to dig trenches or access the line directly. This process can be used for both potable water and sewer pipelines.

Trenchless pipelining begins with inspecting the existing pipe system using high definition CCTV equipment, then cleaning and preparing the pipeline surface. A resin-saturated liner is then inserted into the pipe and inflated to ensure it fits snugly against the inner walls of the existing pipe structure. Once cured, the liner becomes a solid, impenetrable pipe that is structurally sound and corrosion-resistant.

When is CIPP Ideal?

Trenchless pipe relining is suitable for any pipe that has experienced minor damage, such as corrosion or small cracks. In many cases, even with major damage such as collapse or missing sections of pipe, trenchless repairs are available as an option. It seals off any leaks and reinforces the structural integrity of the existing pipe.

It is also effective for pipe root intrusion repair, as well as for displaced joints and offset pipes. Additionally, CIPP is ideal for pipe systems that are difficult to access directly due to location, such as those buried under buildings or roads.

Benefits

This underground sewer line repair is often more cost effective than traditional pipe replacement because it requires minimal excavation, which means less property damage. This also means you will not have to deal with the expensive costs of repairing and replacing damaged landscaping, driveways, sidewalks, etc.

Additionally, since there’s no need to dig trenches to access the pipes, this pipe reline method minimizes downtime for businesses that require uninterrupted service from their plumbing system.

Finally, this process works on different pipe materials, including clay, concrete, cast iron and steel. Cast iron pipe relining is commonly repaired with CIPP and requires descaling, but no additional repairs, such as joint sealing or repointing.

Since 2004, A-1 Total Service Plumbing has served as the trusted professionals in trenchless pipe lining repair in Los Angeles, CA and the surrounding area.

How We Repair Home Sewer Lines

Many homeowners wonder about the sewer line repair process and what to expect. When we perform a trenchless repair, we use Cure-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP) and Spray-In-Place Pipe (SIPP) methods. The preparation process for homeowners typically begins with us checking each pipe and connection. We use a camera to check the drains and pipes for corrosion, blockages, and other problems. Our crew uses this information to plan the best technique for the repair.

The CIPP and SIPP Process

As detailed in an article on Purgula, CIPP and SIPP methods offer a no-dig or low-dig method of fixing pipes. If no easy access point exists, we create a small one. Our robotic equipment easily fits into a six-inch pipe. We clean the pipe and remove mineral scale, solid waste, tree roots, and other debris. For residential repairs, we use the most appropriate lining material from a large group of manufacturing partners to perform the right repair. Our team then prepares the two-part resin and applies it to the liner for a structural lining repair. Utilizing the right equipment based on the scope of the work is essential. We then deploy the lining material using specialty equipment to ensure the correct position within the pipe. We invert the liner and cure it with a calibration tube. The curing process bonds the liner and host pipe and takes about 3-4 hours.

What to Expect From Us

When we arrive at your home for a sewer repair, you can expect us to treat you and your property respectfully. Each member of our team maintains open communication and answers your questions throughout the repair process. As detailed in the aforementioned Purgula story, we know how to mitigate risks and produce a high-quality, reliable outcome.

Why Choose Us

We understand that homeowners have many options when it comes to sewer pipe repairs. Our founder and CEO, Raymond Gray, is a fourth-generation plumber and pipefitter. He brings years of experience and dedication to the community. We had access at both ends and used 1FT of 5-inch calibration tube as an intro guide and on the down stream end we used 8FT of calibration tube as an exit guide. We then installed the liner from end to end as you would shooting a main line bag. We will let the liner set over night and return tomorrow to perform 4 robotic lateral reinstatements.
